Top 15 Wedding Design Inspirations

Top 15 Wedding Design Inspirations

Today we’re here to share with you our current top 15 wedding design inspirations we’re loving here at the Destination Wedding Studio, inspired by our DWS couples, our time studying with the School of Styling, recent wedding style shoots, and our hours and hours of looking online through Real Wedding Galleries.  And although the web and all things social media irrefutably conjure up a mix of love and hate in most people, we here at Destination Wedding Studio are forever grateful for the gifts that these avenues of inspiration (and distraction) are in our lives, most of the time that is.  To be able to have so much information and inspiration so readily available was inconceivable not that many years ago.  So today we’re celebrating technology.  Here’s to being connected and inspired via the worldwide web! 1. Eucalyptus: because for us, there is truly no other plant that is quite as versatile.  It works for just about every wedding theme imaginable.  Most importantly, it is a statement piece alone, but just as impactful in collaboration. 2. Calligraphy: is a must!  From invitations to escort cards to signage to seating charts to you name it, good calligraphy takes everything up a notch.  And the best part, there are SO many fabulous calligraphers out there bringing their artistry to the wedding world and this makes us so happy, as it should you! 3. Watercolor: is calming and evocative.  Planning weddings primarily in South Florida and the Florida Keys watercolor is the perfect design accent as it so perfectly mimics the freedom in the air and the fluidity of the sea.  We’re not exactly sure when watercolor...

12 Awe-inspiring & Artful Wedding Invitations

We are so excited to be sharing today’s post from DWS Digital Marketing Manager, Alex Cordoba, who scoured the net to bring you her top 12 awe-inspiring and artful wedding invitations.  We think she did a great job and created a list which is both varied and all-encompassing.  She set out to find a little something for everyone and we here at DWS think she succeeded at doing just that.  Oh, and we’re also incredibly eager to share this post with others because we absolutely love all things pretty and there is so much pretty in the images below.  So for all you future brides or wedding invitation aficionados, enjoy, and stay tuned for Peggy’s (DWS founder and principal stylist) list next… 1. I’m a sucker for color so this one was a must!  Also, it’s absolutely ideal for a garden or outdoors wedding of any kind.  Heck, I even think it’d work for those of you dreaming of a tropical destination ‘paradiso’ wedding.  It’s incredibly artistic and beautiful to look at.  Your guests are going to be wow’ed when they open this one!  (Wedding Invitation by Hello Gem)   2. I had to share this one because it’s a totally unique and creative spin on nautical, one that doesn’t scream nautical, which I prefer.  It’s feminine while the heavy presence of blue doesn’t forget the bride’s other half. It’s pretty.  It’s classic.  I love it!  (Wedding Invitation by  Tranquillina)   3. I fell in love with this one at first sight, which was photographed by fine art wedding photographer, KT Merry.  I would choose this wedding invitation for the couple whose wedding colors are black & white or who are having a...
Springtime Wedding Inspirations

Springtime Wedding Inspirations

Living in a state where we are blessed with the four seasons can in the middle of winter seem dreadful, yet as spring begins to offer us her bountiful blossoms and varying colors, it is utterly fantastic and well worth the wait!  And right at this very moment, everything is beginning to bloom all around me.  Morning runs and evening strolls are welcoming back hues all too quickly forgotten amidst winter’s gray, and lucky for me, right in my backyard are one of my absolute favorites- the lilac tree -which in many cultures symbolizes first LOVE.  In honor of this tree native to my backyard and the beloved lavender (that’s just a couple months behind), here is some beautiful springtime wedding inspirations for your lilac + lavender inspired day. For the dress, I initially pulled in a glamorous light purple gown because any bride who dares to go on the side of purple for her wedding dress might as well feel bold and confident enough to go all the way.  But I’m also always a sucker for a light and breezy gown, especially during warmer months or on the beach.  However, no matter which way you go, bravo to the bride who dares to be different! 1. 2. 3. As for the bouquet, the sky is the limit!  The bouquet is like your clutch.  You could go classic, but when wearing a dress that’s just one color, I say the more creative, colorful, and spilling over the better.  Let it be your special day’s ultimate accessory.  If you’re not a flowery person by nature, on your wedding day, pretend.  No one knows otherwise.  That’s my motto!...
