Intimate Beachside Wedding

This intimate beachside wedding was so much fun to revisit!  Beautiful bride Mackenzie and her now husband Josh met at church after being introduced by Mackenzie’s best friend and well, the rest is history.  They chose Hawks Cay as the stunning backdrop to celebrate their union because Mackenzie’s family has been vacationing there for over 21 years; it’s become their home away from home, so naturally it just seemed like the perfect place to exchange their I do’s.  We couldn’t agree more!  And what made the whole experience that much more idyllic was Mackenzie and Josh chose EvanR Photography to capture the event and he did so just perfectly, capturing the couple so unbelievably happy in each and every image that as I was going through their album, I have to admit, not only was I smiling alongside them and their guests the entire time, but I got a little teary eyed as well.  It was almost impossible not to, as the love and pure joy were overflowing.  When I asked Mackenzie what was her most memorable moment of the evening, she responded, “It was definitely how intimate the party felt!  We felt like we were truly hanging out with our closest family and friends!”  Bravo Mackenzie and Josh!  Because when it comes down to it, that’s exactly how it should be.

A Dreamy Rustic Garden Wedding

When the first photograph of Kelly and Ryan’s dreamy rustic garden wedding came into our inbox we were so happily taken back to an unforgettable night.  A night where there was so much love in the air it was palpable.  Their rustic garden affair took place at one of our favorite destination wedding locations in Key West, Florida, The Casa Marina – A Waldorf Astoria Resort, which in it’s own right is a magical place, but when filled with gorgeous pieces from our sister company, Inspired Rentals, well, let’s just say it felt straight out of a fairytale.  Kelly and Ryan’s wedding was what we as little girls dreamed about.  Take a look for yourself and never forget ‘dreams do come true.’

 

From the bride: Ryan and I met amongst mutual friends in Fort Lauderdale.  I grew up in Ft Lauderdale and Ryan is from Richmond, Virginia. As our social circles melded, we deepened our friendship through week night rec leagues playing kickball, dodgeball, our love of traveling and other fun events. About two years of being great friends, Ryan finally asked me out on a date.   After about 4 years, he proposed at Morada Bay in Islamorada.  We wanted to keep with the theme and get married in the Keys.  We fell in love with the Casa Marina for it’s amazing exterior views, and warm ball room. The inspiration for the theme of our wedding came from a rustic english garden feel while taking advantage of the tropical location and amazing surroundings. The mixture of rustic & tropics/beach worked so well with the decor and colors complimenting the venue perfectly. We absolutely loved the cakes, especially the groom’s cake, fashioned after our french bulldog Hammie. It added a unique bit of who we are into the formal affair. The live band kept our guests moving all night long with a mixture of classic Sinatra, 80’s songs everyone could sing along to, and covers of the best dance music. With high and low centerpieces and candles, and drift wood pieces the decor matched perfectly matched our vision of how this day would look.  Peggy, our wedding coordinator and stylist was the best.  Our day would not have been the same without her.
